Grand Jury issues indictments in Coggins case

The case against the two men accused of murder and other charges in connection with the 1983 cold case murder of Timothy Coggins will now proceed to arraignment.

A Spalding County Grand Jury on Tuesday heard evidence in the state’s case against Franklin Gebhardt and William Moore Sr. The indictments for the two suspects were presented in open court, and the Grand Jury issued a true bill in the case, Griffin Judicial Circuit Chief Assistant District Attorney Marie Broder said Tuesday afternoon.
